SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAM AREA
Abraham Lincoln Centre is at the forefront of services designed to provide a "safety net" for individuals and families who are developmentally and/or mentally disabled. Special Education and Mental Health Services offers adult developmental training programs, homebound programs, and programs for persons with mental illnesses. The department also operates ten programs in seven locations that are funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health and Development Disabilities, and the Illinois Department of Public Aid.
