Developmental Training Program
The Abraham Lincoln Centre provides comprehensive developmental training services and pre-vocational training to persons with developmental disabilities, whose condition is attributable to mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and other forms of developmental disabilities. Services are offered on-site for 5.5 hours per day, 240 days per year.

- Individualized training customized for each client designed to foster independence
- Community living and community integration skills that include:
- Mastery of personal identification information
- Survival skills
- Travel
- Use of community facilities
- Money handling
- Time management
- Socialization
- Recreational
- Outdoor camping
- Pre-academic and academic skills, pre-vocation and limited productive work skills leading to sheltered employment (productive level of 25 percent of industrial norm)
- Fine and gross motor skills, including training in arts, crafts, ceramics, gardening
- Behavioral management and modification
- Limited Counseling, Case Management, Psychological Evaluation, and Transportation to and from the Centre
Eligibility Criteria
- Adults 18 years or older, but not exceeding 64 years of age.
- Have mental retardation as primary diagnosis, medically stable and able to participate in at least five hours of program activities daily.
- Reside within the geographical area.
