Residential Programs
The Abraham Lincoln Centre offers two programs that are designed to provide individualized services for adults with developmental disabilities in a safe and comfortable environment, including:
- Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA), in which eight or fewer individuals with developmental disabilities live together under the supervision of the agency and are provided with a wide array of support services.
- Community Support Services, which assists persons with developmental disabilities who are able to live independently and require staff assistance only on an occasional basis. The program also includes training and support for adults who live at home with their families.
Services
- Individualized habilitation plan
- Functional skills, social skills, and mediation information training
- Community integration, shopping, meal planning/preparation, housekeeping, and counting money
- Management of benefits, and help accessing medical and dental care
- Parenting and child care training
- Self advocacy training and recreation activities
Eligibility Criteria
- Adults 18 years or older.
- Diagnosed with a developmental disability and need a supervised or supported living arrangement. Developmental disabilities include mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and other forms of developmental disabilities.
- Applicant must be willing to cooperate in the design and implementation of a service plan.
- Reside within the geographical area.
