Children & Youth
“I was eight years old when I began attending the Abraham Lincoln Centre and it remains special to me. It is where I received one of my best starts in life. It is where my love of learning was ignited, my sense of responsibility to family and community kindled, and the importance of excellence and pride in one’s work was instilled.”Head Start & Pre-K Programs

Research has demonstrated that children learn most quickly in the first six years of life. At the Abraham Lincoln Centre, we believe that it is our responsibility to help prepare children for life, ready for tomorrow. Here, children receive the quality developmental and educational services they need to be successful in school, at home and in the community. As an agency, one of our most important services is preparing children for school and instilling a love and desire for life-long learning.
School Age ProgramsAbraham Lincoln Centre’s school age programs are designed to promote self- sufficiency by providing safe opportunities for 6- to 11-year old children to develop academic, leadership and life skills. We offer high-interest activities that are designed to improve the life chances and outcomes for youth -- particularly disadvantaged youth. We help young people to build stronger relationships with adults, acquire higher educational aspirations and improve feelings of personal efficacy.
