Giving Kids An Early Start Towards a Brighter Future

CHILDREN’S SERVICES
The Abraham Lincoln Centre’s Head Start and Early Head Start programs teach children 3 to 5 years of age the skills they need to succeed in school and later in life. The Abraham Lincoln Centre has the distinction of being only one a few agencies in the country to continuously provide this valuable service since it’s inception more than 30 years ago.
At the Abraham Lincoln Centre, we believe that it is our responsibility to help children receive the quality developmental and educational services needed to be successful in school, at home and in the community. As an agency, one of our most important services is preparing children for school and instilling a love and desire for life-long learning.
Research has demonstrated that children learn most quickly in the first six years of life. Our program teaches children while they are in their most formative years through structured play, classroom and hands-on activities and group interaction that enhances their social/emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Abraham Lincoln Centre’s Head Start programs are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, a professional organization dedicated to helping every child get the highest quality of care and education available. This accreditation is of the most reliable signs of quality care.
The Centre operates
several full and half day Head Start/Pre-K programs with an enrollment of
360 children between 3 to 5 years of age.
